Love Bursts

This morning’s walk after devotions and workout. One of the readings was about glimmers which I have always called love bursts, that moment when you feel your heart expand and fill with love, gratitude and goodness. It talked about looking up with gratitude and then down for grounding. As Gus and I were walking up I saw the sun peeking out of the leaves. I wanted a picture of the beauty of the sun poking out of the leaves. At that precise moment my youngest called to chat. I continued to snap photos as I answered, blinded by the sun and my son’s voice.

I moved into conversation, continuing to walk and talk, catch up on his beautiful life, honored to hear his voice as he shared all that is. My heart truly filled with mom love, joy as I listened to him so thankful for his sharing. After our conversation when I got in the car, sat and went through my photos this one jumped out. I did not get the round yellow sun bursting through the trees rather the leaves formed two hearts framing the beautiful blue sky.

Thanks God. Thanks for all that is, my sons, this day, Your creation sharing my love burst. May be a glimmer, love burst, whatever phrase fits. Most simply, a perfect moment shared with the trees, God, thankful for all that is. Love how God frames our moments perfectly with His love and grace. May we be forever grounded by Him.
